My Journey So Far

My Hobbies

Outside of coding, working out is what I love the most. Unfortunately, it is difficult finding time for it, but I still keep up with lots of fitness news, and do some unofficial coaching.

Fairly recent hobby of mine is F1 and other motorsports in general. I am slowly working towards getting a garage to begin working on cars, and learn more. I find it very interesting, as it is similar to solving a coding problem, very rewarding.

Unsurprisingly, I like to play games, even thought I do not keep up with the latest releases, I still like to occasionally play them.

I like learning languages. I currently am fluent in English and Lithuanian, and intermediate in Russian which I am trying to improve by speaking with other people, and learning words with the help of Duolingo.

I enjoy travelling and exploring new areas, even if it is not far from home. Learning new things about different cultures is always fascinating.

Events I Participated

With a group of friends I participated in an event which involves cycling to various parts of nature and cleaning any rubbish found. We cycled around 30 kilometres total and cleaned 5 spots. It was great exercise and made the environment somewhat cleaner!

I volunteered in a Special Olympics competition where me and others helped plan for events, assist with the operation, and even dry the track after unexpected rain. My tasks were timing the runners, retrieving shot put balls, handing awards, and ensuring overall safety for the participants. I gained quite a lot of experience about running events such scale, and all the background difficulties that can unexpectedly show up. To be eligible I required to complete a vetting meeting which allowed me to communicate and learn from others about all safety related matters.
